Booking, Prices & Payment

A booking is confirmed once:

  1. The required booking information has been provided; and

  2. Payment, or any stated deposit, has been received.

Booking through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the relevant service. Confirmation of the booking creates the agreement between you and Nua Sound Therapy & Wellbeing.

Please check the date, time, location and details contained within your booking confirmation.

Prices will be displayed on our website or communicated to you before booking.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, payment is required at the time of booking.

Prices may change from time to time, but a price change will not affect an existing confirmed booking.

Any additional service or treatment will be clearly priced before you agree to purchase it.

Cancellation - One to one and group sessions
  • One-to-One Appointment Cancellations

  • We understand that circumstances change.

  • For individual appointments:

  • More than 48 hours' notice:
    You may cancel or reschedule your appointment without charge.

  • Between 24 and 48 hours' notice:
    We will normally offer one opportunity to transfer your booking to another available date.

  • Less than 24 hours' notice or non-attendance:
    The session fee may be retained because it is unlikely that we will be able to refill the appointment at short notice.

  • We will always consider exceptional circumstances fairly and reasonably.

  • Repeated cancellations or non-attendance may result in us requesting payment in advance for future bookings.

  • Group sessions, floating sound baths and other scheduled events have limited capacity.

  • Unless different cancellation terms are clearly stated when booking:

  • Seven days or more before the event:
    You may request a refund or transfer your booking to another available event.

  • Between 48 hours and seven days before the event:
    We will normally offer a transfer or credit towards another Nua session.

  • Less than 48 hours before the event:
    The booking is normally non-refundable, although we may offer a transfer if your place can be resold or where exceptional circumstances apply.

  • You may contact us if you wish to transfer your place to another person. The replacement participant must meet any participation requirements and complete any required health or consent information.

  • Nothing within these cancellation terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Cancellation by Nua
  • Cancellation by Nua

  • Occasionally we may need to change or cancel a session because of circumstances such as practitioner illness, venue problems, equipment issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

  • If we cancel and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will be offered:

  • A transfer to another session;

  • Credit towards another Nua service; or

  • A refund of the amount you paid for the cancelled service.

  • We are not responsible for separate costs you may incur in attending an event, such as travel, accommodation or childcare, except where the law requires otherwise.

  • Please arrive at the time advised within your booking information.

  • If you arrive late for a one-to-one appointment, your session may need to finish at the originally scheduled time so that subsequent appointments are not affected.

  • If you arrive after a group session has started, admission may not always be possible because entering the space could disturb participants or create a safety issue.

  • A refund cannot normally be provided where a participant misses a session because of their own late arrival.

Participation and conduct

We want our sessions to provide a calm, respectful and safe environment.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask someone to leave if their behaviour:

  • Creates a safety concern;

  • Causes significant disruption;

  • Is threatening, abusive or discriminatory;

  • Inappropriately affects other participants; or

  • Appears to be significantly affected by alcohol or recreational drugs.

A refund will not normally be provided where a participant is removed for these reasons.

Alcohol & Recreational Drugs

Participants should not attend sound therapy sessions while intoxicated or significantly impaired by alcohol or recreational drugs.

We may refuse participation where we reasonably believe that someone's ability to participate safely is impaired.

Children and Young People

Sessions involving anyone under 18 must be specifically agreed with us in advance.

A parent or person with appropriate parental responsibility may be required to:

  • Provide consent;

  • Complete relevant health information; and

  • Remain present during the session.

The precise arrangements will depend on the child's age, the nature of the session and the venue.

Personal Belongings

Please take reasonable care of your personal belongings.

Nua cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Participants attending pool-based sessions should follow the venue's arrangements for valuables and personal belongings.

Results, Experience, Video photography and Marketing

People respond differently to sound therapy.

Some participants report experiences such as deep relaxation, improved sense of wellbeing, emotional release, altered perception of time or increased awareness of bodily sensations.

However, we cannot guarantee any particular physical, psychological, emotional or therapeutic outcome.

Testimonials and descriptions of other participants' experiences should not be interpreted as a promise that you will experience the same results.

We may occasionally wish to photograph or record group events for Nua's website or social-media channels.

Where an individual is identifiable, appropriate consent will be sought.

You are under no obligation to agree to being photographed or filmed, and declining consent will not affect your ability to participate.

Private health information will never knowingly be published as part of marketing material without appropriate permission.

Privacy, Health and Confidentiality Information

Privacy & Health Information

In order to provide our services safely, we may ask you to provide personal information and limited information relating to your health.

We only ask for information that we reasonably need for the relevant purpose.

Information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data-protection legislation.

Health information is treated with particular care and will not be used for unrelated marketing purposes.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details about how personal information is collected, stored, used and protected and about your data-protection rights.

Information disclosed during a private sound therapy session will normally be treated confidentially.

However, confidentiality may need to be limited where:

  • You give permission for information to be shared;

  • Disclosure is required by law; or

  • There is a serious safeguarding or safety concern requiring appropriate action.

Only information reasonably necessary for the particular purpose will be shared.

Complaints and Liability

We want to know if you are dissatisfied with any part of our service.

Please contact us in the first instance so that we have an opportunity to understand and address your concern.

We aim to deal with complaints fairly, respectfully and within a reasonable timeframe.

Contact: info@nua.uk.com

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Participants are responsible for providing accurate information about matters relevant to their safe participation and for following reasonable safety instructions.

We will not be responsible for losses which were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made or which arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Events with other practitioners, Gift Vouchers & Credits

Some Nua events may involve independent practitioners or organisations providing activities such as yoga, Pilates, breathwork, hypnotherapy, coaching or other wellbeing services.

Where another practitioner is responsible for delivering a particular service, they may have their own professional responsibilities, consent procedures and terms.

We will make this clear where appropriate.

Where gift vouchers or account credits are offered:

  • They have no cash value;

  • They cannot normally be exchanged for cash;

  • Any expiry date will be clearly stated when issued; and

  • They must be presented or applied when booking.

Any statutory rights remain unaffected.

Changes to these terms and Governing Law

We may amend these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary, for example because our services, business practices or legal requirements change.

The version that applies to your booking will normally be the version in force when your booking was made.

The most recent version will be available through our website.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory legal protections applying where you live.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
